By making a sensational entry to say the least in the MotoGP category, Fabio Quartararo very quickly acquired a favorite status that many believe will be exacerbated this year. A brilliant debutant with seven podiums and six pole positions, the Frenchman is now considered one of the candidates for the title in this season which begins on March 8 in Qatar. A prediction supported by Yamaha which has already dubbed him one of its riders of the future. But what does the main person think? By unveiling his 2020 roadmap, he is reducing the pressure…

fabio quartararo demonstrated what he was capable of when he entered MotoGP with a so-called “Spec B” Yamaha. In 2020, he will have the best version of the M1 and he already knows that a place in the official team is reserved for him until 2022. Calm about the progress of his career, the tricolor has complete freedom to face his destiny which can only be that of a champion in view of the comments and other evaluations of his own opponents on the track.

His 13 front row starts in 19 Grands Prix last year nevertheless did not give him this victory which would have been the icing on the cake. There remains this step to take, narrowly missed in Misano and Buriram, and Fabio humbly takes it into account: “ I think I had a great season as a beginner last year and I learned a lot from many riders, but I don't want to say I'm ready for the title because I'm not », declared the Nice pilot.

« I think we are facing a year in which I can fight for the top places starting in Qatar. I have more experience and I want to avoid the mistakes I made last year… My goal is to finish more races on the podium and fight for victory in more races until the end ", said fabio quartararo on Tutomotoriweb.

The opening race of the 2020 MotoGP season will take place on March 8 on the Losail circuit in Qatar. The final pre-season test will take place at the same venue on February 22 to 24. In 2019, Fabio finished fifth in the championship, best beginner and private driver.
