Fabio Quartararo, currently at Yamaha and at the end of his contract, has opened the veil on how he sees his future in MotoGP in the face of performances that leave something to be desired from his current mount. It's exploring its options for 2025, with Aprilia standing out as a serious contender to its current M1.

« Discussions have already taken place in the paddock regarding my future, " entrusts Fabio Quartararo at Sky. “ It's important to evaluate all possibilities. I'm not going to dwell on my decision, but I'm not in a hurry either.."

Quarterly specifies the criteria for its future decision. “ Of course, the financial aspect matters, as for everyone,” he explains. “ But what motivates me is finding a project that excites me and that allows me to aim for the results I covet.."

The French rider, MotoGP world champion in 2021, came close to the double in 2022, despite a notable drop in the competitiveness of his Yamaha . His last season was particularly difficult. Although Yamaha now benefits from concessions to improve its situation, Massimo Meregalli, the team boss, recognizes that the recovery will not be immediate. Yamaha must therefore convince Fabio Quartararo of his competitive potential for 2025, while other teams are also courting him.

The mysterious (and mystical) message from Fabio Quartararo: “God is never late, we are just impatient”

Fabio Quartararo: “ what motivates me is finding a project that excites me and that allows me to aim for the results I covet »

Aprilia is positioned as an attractive option with a machine superior to the Yamaha current. KTM, rich in talents including Pedro Acosta, could also have a place for Quarterly despite the commitment to Brad Binder. Ducati, dominating the paddock, however seems less obvious as a destination for the Frenchman, given his commitments to Francesco Bagnaia, the interest in Marc Marquez, and the arrival of Fermin Aldeguer.

As for a possible move to Honda, it seems improbable, Quarterly not wanting to trade one difficult situation for another. His reputation as one of the best pilots in the MotoGP makes his signing a major issue on the transfer market, and his decision could well redefine the competition landscape.
