An essential process of the moment, Canal+ offers us a recorded videoconference between Marina Lorenzo and Fabio Quartararo to discover the daily life of the French pilot confined in his house in Andorra.

After his brilliant arrival in the premier Grand Prix category, and with a guaranteed place in the official Yamaha team from next year, the man nicknamed “El Diablo” gives priority to his daily physical training in order to being in better shape than ever the day he got back on his M1 from the Petronas team.

And there, the Nice resident is not pretending since his daily program consists of 5,14 kilometers going up and down the stairs, 40 minutes of exercise bike and 1h20 of various exercises in the afternoon!

fabio quartararo : “Every day, it's like that and we can even take a little more risks in training since we don't have a race, to try to push the limits a little more. It's physically tough, but you have to hold on and you only have that to do, and it's something very important for a driver to be at 100% of your abilities. »

This physical program, supervised by his trainer, allows him to be ready for all eventualities when the races resume, whether it is to do a series of Grand Prix weekend after weekend, or even, a more hypothetical solution, to do two races per weekend.

“If we had 19 races in a row, that would be perfect for me. In July, we (usually) have three weeks off. I think the break is already quite long now, so we're not going to say 19 races in 19 weeks, but it's true that we can do quite a few races in a row, perhaps by reducing by one day . »

Two races per weekend?

" It's difficult ! It all depends on the circuits. I think last year we had a lot of circuits where we saw that it was physically difficult. I think it could be done but you would really have to be physically ready. »

The Frenchman completes this training by frequently watching various MotoGP sessions or races before, in the evening, moving on to something else by playing online with his friends on a PlayStation.

Yesterday, the number #20 took pole position during the first virtual MotoGP race before falling several times and finishing 4th. We can bet that, like any high-level athlete, he will be keen to improve this result during the next e-race which will take place on April 16...
