Fabio Quartararo is champing at the bit and eagerly looking at the date July 19 on his calendar. And for good reason, the deadline is promised to finally launch the MotoGP season, a confrontation which has not taken place since November last year, in Valencia. The reunion will take place at Jerez, the track where the Frenchman won the first of his six pole positions in 2019, the year of his sensational entry into MotoGP. In the race, his Yamaha betrayed him while he was in contention for the podium... There is therefore revenge to take on fate before moving to the official M1 in 2021 and thus succeeding Valentino Rossi. The opportunity for Fabio to appreciate how far he has come since his beginnings...

We would have said to fabio quartararo it is only two years since he succeeded Valentino Rossi within the official team Yamaha in MotoGP, he would undoubtedly have remained incredulous. So you understand how much it's incredible now to run with him, to be able to talk to him, to have a direct relationship »

Fabio Quartararo hopes the Italians won't hold it against him

« We have talked several times, we race with the same bike and next year I will be in his team although, to tell the truth, I have not yet metabolized the fact that I am racing with him and that next year, in a certain sense, I will take his place, his motorcycle! » adds Fabio. “ It's something incredible... I remember my third place in front of him in Austria. 12 years ago I stood in front of his hospitality waiting to take a photo with him. How do you describe a feeling like this? »

He finishes : " I hope to arouse more sympathy than resentment among the Italians. And I also sincerely hope that he goes to Petronas. If he could continue running until he was 65, I would be really happy! » We cannot say that he is not doing what is necessary to have the indulgence of the transalpines...
