MotoGP Ducati

The puzzle of the MotoGP transfer market for the 2025 season became a little more clear at Silverstone this Friday thanks to a confession made in spite of himself by Ducati man Davide Tardozzi. After several weeks of rumors and speculation, it is now clear that Fermin Aldeguer, one of Moto2's most promising talents, will join the Gresini Racing team in MotoGP next year. Because Morbidelli will be Di Giannantonio's teammate in the VR46. A plan revealed in a few words from the north of the pitlane by Davide Tardozzi who thus burned the communications not only of the VR46 team, but also of the Gresini team...

Fermin Aldeguer convinced the paddock with his regular performances and his four consecutive victories at the end of last season. An impulse that led him to sign a contract with Ducati with a view to promotion to the premier category. The question was which team he would play for. It is now done: Aldeguer will have the honor of succeeding Marc Marquez in Gresini Racing team and ride a Ducati Desmosedici GP24.

Not only Aldeguer inherits the place of Marquez, but it will also benefit from the experience of its technical team. Francesco “Frankie” Carchedi, Filippo Tognoni, Mattia Sereni and other experienced mechanics will put their skills at the service of the young Spaniard. A real boon for Aldeguer who will thus be able to rely on high-level supervision from his debut in MotoGP.

The transfer ofAldeguer takes place in a particularly eventful transfer window context. The decision to Ducati to provide a factory motorcycle to the team VR46 for 2025 has reshuffled the cards. Fabio Di Giannantonio et Franco Morbidelli have thus found their base, leaving the door open to Aldeguer at Gresini.

With the arrival of Fermin Aldeguer, the team Gresini Racing team now has a duo of drivers composed of the Spaniard and by Alex Marquez. Both men will be keen to defend the colors of Ducati and achieve good results in their first season together.

The future therefore looks bright for Fermin Aldeguer. With his talent and the support of his team, the young Spaniard has all the cards in hand to establish himself as one of the revelations of the 2025 season. However, he still has one last 2024 campaign to complete in Moto2. Which is currently half-hearted...
