Fonsi Nieto

After a thrilling race at Le Mans that saw Jorge Martin, nicknamed "Martinator", take victory ahead of Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia, a hoarse but delighted Fonsi Nieto shared his thoughts with AS. The intense duel between the three titans of MotoGP left Nieto almost speechless, captured by the emotion and excitement of the moment.

« This boy continues to push the limits, and each time he surprises me more. He works incredibly hard, always perfecting his art, whether on the track or at home with his coach, " said Fonsi Nieto, visibly impressed by the performance of Jorge Martin. " This weekend was perfect, a ten out of ten. Jorge dominated every session, took pole and took every possible point."

Regarding the strategy for the race, Grandson found : " our plan was to take the lead quickly and set our pace. Jorge clearly had an advantage over Pecco, and even though there were some minor errors, he was able to overcome them brilliantly."

When the pilots started to get closer, Grandson knew something was going to happen. “ When Jorge closed the gap to Pecco, I was convinced our moment had come. And when he took charge, I was certain that Marc's intervention would have favorable repercussions for us."

Fonsi Nieto: “ Jorge, Marc, Pecco, they watch each other »

On the performance of Marc Marquez, Nieto is full of praise: “ Starting thirteenth and finishing second is exceptional. Marc is a fantastic competitor, and I love watching him run. It's always a spectacle when he, Pecco and Jorge are on the track."

Fonsi Nieto also addressed the battle for the title: “ it is still early to talk about the championship, but clearly, they are all concerned about this. Jorge, Marc, Pecco, they watch each other. We have an advantage now, but we have to stay focused, avoid mistakes and continue to accumulate points. We aim for victory every time, but sometimes you have to settle for what you can get."

The nephew of the legendary pilot Angel grandson is confident but cautious, emphasizing the importance of taking races one at a time and maximizing opportunities without taking unnecessary risks. With such a start to the season, the “Martinator” and his team hope to continue this victorious momentum.
