Marco Bezzecchi

Marco Bezzecchi is not experiencing a prosperous period after a thunderous start to the season which went so far as to place him at the top of the provisional general classification. A leadership status that he maintained for two Grands Prix, before coming second after the Spanish campaign and now halfway through the Battle of France. The VR46 driver will be keen to resume his march forward on Sunday, for the long race, after completing a lackluster Sprint...

Marco Bezzecchi closed the race Sprint of the French Grand Prix, fifth stage of the 2023 World Championship, in seventh position. A performance which now places him third overall with 68 points, behind a Brad Binder that nothing seems to stop. The Italian fought hard to regain what was his starting position after a failed takeoff which had caused him to slip to 12th place.

Marco Bezzecchi: “ the feelings are good »

Already ninth at the end of the first lap, he fought hard in the peloton, showing good pace halfway through the race. He takes away from this Saturday a positive feeling which he intends to put to good use for the grand finale on Sunday…

« I struggled at the start, lost several places and had to recover » comments the teammate Luca marini who finished fourth in the same competition. “ With only a few laps to go, it's not easy, I had to push a lot, but overall I'm positive, I kept a good pace. For tomorrow the sensations are good, I only regret the qualifications. In FP3, I crashed, the tire was cold and I got back on track just for Q2. Our goal was the first two places, but P7 is not so bad. I hope I can enjoy it tomorrow ».
