Enea Bastianini

Enea Bastianini (Red Bull KTM Tech3) endured a nightmarish 2025 French Grand Prix at Le Mans, marked by a 13th-place finish in both the sprint and the race, but above all by a penalty for causing an accident at the start of the Grand Prix. Involving Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo) and Joan Mir (Honda), this incident ruined their chances and earned Bastianini an official sanction, as announced by the MotoGP stewards.

While the disturbed weather conditions could have offered a surprise podium, the Italian ruined his chances from the start: badly positioned at the entrance to the chicane, he cut the inside kerb, causing brutal contact with Pecco Bagnaia, who was perfectly positioned in ambush behind the leaders. Enea Bastianini will have to go through a long lap at Silverstone

Race management was quick to react. After analysis, the jury of stewards ruled that the maneuver bastianini was a case of irresponsible driving. Result: a long lap penalty was inflicted on the pilot KTM, which he will have to carry out during the next Grand Prix at Silverstone (May 23–25).
