It was as the latest MotoGP Grand Prix winner to date that Jack Miller presented himself at Le Mans, for the end of the calendar in France. The Ducati official was therefore a little less under pressure than in Jerez and his best time in FP1 gave a glimpse of an Australian still on his good Spanish momentum. But FP2 brought him back down to earth. A fall, the cold, the wind, calmed the enthusiasm of Miller who nevertheless potentially finds himself in Q2. But leadership at Ducati has clearly been left to Johann Zarco.

The very first victory of Miller in MotoGP took place in conditions at Assen which were very similar to those which took place this Friday at the Mans. But it seems that the now official Ducati more in need of a dry track and clear skies, as he demonstrated two weeks ago by winning the Spanish Grand Prix. Indeed, if the FP1 was a masterstroke, the FP2 was a little more complicated for the Australian.

On his Friday on the Bugatti, the teammate of bagnaia leader of the championship and only 12th says: “ it is difficult to understand where we are. It is also difficult to get a feel for the trail. Every round and every session was different. The wind plays just as much a role as the cold ". He also recounts his fall: “ I attacked a little more between turns 6 and 7 and I was then a little too demanding. But I was still able to make the top 10. That was the main goal ", declared the Australian, who did not manage to put everything together in the same round: " you can already estimate what went well and what didn't. But because of the wind, I couldn't do a trick in such a way that everything happened together. But I think we are not that far from Fabio, Pol, Maverick and the other fast drivers ».

Jack Miller: “it will be stressful anyway”

On his personal case, since the victory at Jerez, Jack Miller expertise: “ I'm a little less stressed, I notice that. But of course, I'm always under pressure. I want more. I like driving here at Le Mans ". It remains to be seen under what conditions: no matter what the weather is like. It will be stressful anyway. If it was a flag to flag race it would be more on me as the driver. So it’s all about good timing. It would be interesting because there hasn't been a race like this in a long time. But I would like to avoid such a race ". He is not the only one.
