Marc Marquez France

It was a Marc Marquez furious with himself who took stock of a French Grand Prix contested in Dantean conditions and which was marked by two falls. One of which is crippling. He blames himself for this one because he recognizes that he was attacking too much. Which, given the result is a shame but for the future, it is paradoxically reassuring...

Marc Marquez had announced: on a wet track, he would be a customer to follow. And in fact, as soon as the raindrops were insistent, the official Honda took the lead. Unfortunately, he was unable to stay on his wheels, but he was still able to leave. A second chance that he seized with aggressiveness and enthusiasm, revealing that the Marc Marquez from before was still there. An enthusiasm that played tricks on him, pushing him to make a mistake. An error that the demanding eight-time World Champion takes credit for and bitterly regrets…

On the sidelines of the race, the driver Honda commented : " I knew I would have difficulty, but I immediately felt good. The fall came because we slipped a lot. It can happen. When I got back on the bike, I was going hard, very hardt. The second accident made me angrier than the first. The first one might happen, but the second one was because I was pushing too hard ».

Marc Marquez: “I wasn’t good. I took risks when I didn't have to."

The eldest Marquez then continued: “ the first one can happen, but the second one made me angry. I was 100% focused, I felt good on the bike. At that point, however, I started to wonder if it was better to go back to dry tires and I lost my concentration ».

Finally, the Spaniard concluded: “ It's not just me who falls into Honda. We are working in this direction. Here, due to the conditions we had, we had a good weekend. But today I was not good. I took risks when I didn't have to. For the rest, however, I think we manage everything well. Today we were fast, but we erred in the direction ».

In short, Marquez doesn't want to take it easy. The Spaniard wants to continue to progress and try to return to the alien he was before the terrible injury that prevented him from racing for an entire season. Good news, right?
