And here we go again. After a good Hungarian Grand Prix, Franco Morbidelli spoke about his mentor, but also about the oh-so-controversial 2015 season. As a reminder, during the Malaysian GP, Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez touched ; the Italian even allegedly kicked the Spaniard, while Jorge Lorenzo flew to the world title. Franky looked back on this now legendary incident, and gave his opinion on it.
In an interview given to AS, Franco Morbidelli refers to Valentino Rossi as the GOAT, the greatest rider of all time. « I think Valentino Rossi is the best, even if Marquez equaled him with nine titlesWhat he has done for the sport is incomparable. He has propelled it into another dimension, something the Spaniard, with his exploits on the handlebars, has not managed to do so far. And then, I also have reservations about his behavior. In particular, a negative thought related to how he helped Lorenzo win the championship in 2015 » he confided.

The Italian also spoke about Pedro Acosta, who, as we know, has been in talks with Ducati VR46 for a future place. "It is true that this rider has a good chance of riding my bike, because he is very young. Ten years younger than me, he has one more world championship title than me, and he is very promising thanks to his speed in MotoGP. He has a good chance of having all the motorcycles he wants. he added.
While he will probably be extended in the coming weeks, Franco Morbidelli would perfectly understand if someone else were to be given priority at some point, given his age. "I love my bike a lot, but I love the team and these colors even more. If I can't give the team what it deserves, and Uccio or Vale think someone else can give it more than me, I would see no problem or hard feelings in that. » he concluded.
