Franco Morbidelli finally holds this Yamaha factory and what's more within the official team. A dream come true that was well worth the sacrifice of a peaceful convalescence. To do well, the Italian-Brazilian would have needed three more months of rest, but he is already on the move. The former Ducati driver must relearn everything on the handlebars of an M1 that is very different from the Desmosedici. And it is all the less simple since he had put himself in a position of non-activity of the MotoGP. So we have to get back to work. Does Franco Morbidelli still hope for Ramon Forcada by his side?

It will be noted that the chief engineer is not forgotten. Ramón Forcada is appreciated by Morbidely, but he was unable to follow him in his transfer to the official stable of the Iwata brand. And there will a priori be no more staff in 2022. A year which will be year zero of a new structure led by Razlan Razali who will no longer have Petronas at his side any more than his current right arm  Johan Stigefelt with which the cloth burns.

Dovizioso also observes this crisis and has taken note of the announcement of a team RNF extension whose trigram represents the first three letters of the three children of Razlan Razali. A touching attention which does not fill the coffers however. These should be supplemented by the WithU brand, but the delay in confirming this plan is making us nervous...

Less than Yamaha observe all this and should preserve Dovizioso if the setback turned out to be a great disappointment. As for the second pilot, Darryn Binder is still in the pipeline but Toprak Razgatlioglu could put the brakes on him with the support of Lynn Jarvis. And we know that the Turk is strong on the brakes…
