The 2024 season will have been a historic year for Ducati. With 18 victories out of 19 races and an unprecedented domination, the Italian brand has made its mark. But Gigi Dall'Igna makes no mistake: behind this resounding success lie many challenges for the coming season.
Ducati left its mark on the 2024 MotoGP season with unprecedented dominance. At the “Campioni in Festa” event, held at Pavilion 39 of Bologna Fiere, Gigi Dall'Igna, CEO of the brand, delivered an informed analysis of this historic year and the challenges ahead for 2025.
With 18 wins out of 19 races, Ducati proved its technical and strategic superiority throughout the season. The peak of this dominance was reached at the Thailand Grand Prix, where the eight Ducati Desmosedicis occupied the first eight places. Gigi Dall'Igna did not hide his pride: " Eight Ducatis in the top eight positions means that all our bikes are ahead of all our competitors. It really makes an impression.. »
Despite this triumphant season, Dall'Igna stresses the importance of starting from scratch in 2025: “ a new book opens, we all start from zeroOur competitors will work to catch up, the fight will be very tough, especially with Jorge Martin who will be the reference with the number n°1 »
The first tests at Montmelò have already given a glimpse of the potential of the new GP25, but the brand knows that the competition, led by Aprilia et KTM, will be sharper than ever.

Gigi Dall’Igna: “ With Pecco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez, we have no excuses »
However, with Pecco Bagnaia et Marc Marquez, Ducati now has two champions in its factory box. Dall'Igna did not hide his ambition: " With these two champions, we have no excuses.. We must try to achieve the same results as this year. The team knows what the goal is and will do everything to achieve it. »
However, Ducati will adopt a more conservative approach in 2025: “ This year we risked more, because most of our competitors had more concessions. This time, It is time to keep the solutions that bring us significant benefits without taking too much risk »
Despite a 2024 season marked by costly errors, bagnaia remains a central pillar of the team. Dall'Igna highlighted his ability to bounce back: “ Pecco has all the qualities to regain the number 1. He has won two world championships in a row, this year he won 11 races. His mistakes are avoidable., so on paper he has all the characteristics to become world champion again »
Ducati approaches 2025 with an undeniable position of strength, but the Italian marque knows that the competition is getting tighter. With an exceptional factory team and a conservative strategy, Borgo Panigale hopes not only to defend its crown, but also to continue writing the history of the MotoGP.
