MotoGP, San Marino Misano Grand Prix, Franco Morbidelli: “it’s a very special track for me because I’m at home”

In light of the San Marino Grand Prix coming up this weekend, it's a Franco Morbidelli combative which tumbles onto the Misano route. A track that the Petronas Yamaha rider particularly appreciates because he will be working at home.

After his fifth position at Silverstone, his best result of the season, the teammate of Fabio Quartararo can no longer hold still as the thirteenth round of the championship looms this weekend.

« We are doing well after the work done on the bike settings during the Misano test » said the Roman, ready to fight for victory.

« Misano is a very special track for me, because I am at home » he continues. “ I see the track from home, I train a lot and I really like coming to ride here. There are always a lot of friends and relatives who come to the race, and it's always nice to have them, they help me relax and energize me before the race. It's really good to arrive here after two days of tests which were very positive » confides the 24-year-old rider, this is his second season in MotoGP after testing the Honda last year.

He concludes : " The stranger of the weekend? Our level of adherence because we don't yet know what conditions we will have on the track. Certainly we can improve in the fast corners like turns 3 and 11, so our configuration is not yet ready to work 100%.
