Arriving at Silverstone, Maverick Viñales announced that his ambition was to be the first of the four Yamaha riders. A missed objective on Friday which was not achieved on Saturday. Here he is sixth on the starting grid with the status of third of the fantastic four equipped in M1. All that remains is the race on Sunday so as not to leave disappointed with this twelfth meeting on the calendar...
Maverick Vinales finished qualifying for the MotoGP British Grand Prix with the sixth fastest time. The Spaniard during free practice showed himself to have good race pace, but he lacked absolute performance on the timed lap. Despite starting from the second row, the No. 12 is confident and thinks he can fight for the podium… At least.
« So far it's been a good weekend » assures the Spaniard. “ We prepared very well for the race and I am very confident for Sunday, so I will do my best from the first lap. Somehow I can achieve some really good times at the end of the race, which means it will be one of our strong points ».
He finishes : " I will do my best in the end. The start of the race is what we need to improve, even if we need to be at the highest level. I think it will be important to take another step in the warmup tomorrow if we want to fight for victory. The podium is very open, so we will try to be there at the start, then we will see ».
