An incident which pitted Johann Zarco, starting from Mattighofen, against Miguel Oliveira, the the man who joins the Austrians. But no conflict nevertheless with the excuses presented and the idea of a racing incident which prevailed. Except for officials.
The latter are of another opinion and have therefore sanctioned Johann zarco who will have to drop three places on the starting grid for the next San Marino Grand Prix when qualifying is completed. The double Moto2 World Champion still gives his version on Speedweek: “ I tried to pass Miguel in this very slow corner and I really thought he would see me. Because in practice I was able to overtake some drivers without any problems there. Unfortunately, he discovered my presence too late and he fell. He also fought for the top 10 », sighed the 29-year-old Cannes pilot who performed an interesting performance: “ it was good that my pace was slightly better all weekend ". He finishes : " now I have to wait for the next race in Misano and I hope things go just as well there. We expect a very different track to Silverstone and it could become more difficult. Because the track is very narrow and has many slow turns, which are not our greatest strength ».
