Young Spanish prodigy Pedro Acosta recently took a whirlwind trip to Austria for an immersion into the heart of KTM's racing department. This stay was an opportunity for the MotoGP rookie to take a step back and gain a new perspective on his future within the Austrian brand.
« I've changed some things, some of my perspectives have changed" , told Acosta after his visit. “ I met people who were involved in this project from the beginning but who are no longer as involved today. It was interesting."
The Spanish pilot underlined the importance of direct exchange with engineers and technicians: “ sometimes we don't need numbers, but rather practical people. It's not that we missed them. But sometimes you have to stop and take a step back."
This personal initiative ofAcosta was praised by KTM. " It was nice to see how engaged everyone at the factory was in this project“, declared the young pilot. “ It's always better if you have something to say and if you do it face to face."
Pedro Acosta: “ it is important that I have the necessary knowledge within the Pierer Mobility family »
Peter Acosta also mentioned the difficulties encountered in MotoGP compared to intermediate categories: “ In the Moto3 and Moto2 World Championships, things tend to happen in the background. The young Spaniard is determined to make the most of this experience to progress and become an even more successful driver. He has confidence in the team KTM and in its ability to help him achieve his goals.
« I'm sure they know what to do. Pierer Mobility provided me with the best people they could give me“, he concluded.
