Aleix Espargaró delivered an exceptional performance during qualifying for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. By setting a new lap record, the Spaniard snatched pole position, his seventh in MotoGP. This performance underlines the competitiveness of Aprilia and the consistency of Espargaró this season.

The pilot Aprilia benefited from a bit of luck with the fall of his teammate Maverick Vinales at the end of the session which put an end to possible improvements with the release of the yellow flag. However, it was his determination and his talent that allowed him to achieve this perfect lap.

Behind him, Pecco Bagnaia, the reigning world champion, was frustrated after having to stop his best lap due to a problem with his visor. The Italian, who had nevertheless achieved a very fast time, will have to be content with second place on the grid. His teammate Enea Bastianini completes the first row.

The starting grid is extremely tight, with many drivers capable of fighting for victory. Jorge Martin, Alex Marquez et Brad Binder stand in ambush on the second line, while Marc Marquez, Maverick Vinales et Pedro Acosta occupy the third.

The Ducati, Aprilia et KTM are still the brands most represented at the forefront, promising a great spectacle for the race. We can expect a hectic start and many overtakes.

The championship was relaunched this Saturday at Silverstone

During the Sprint race which closed this intense day on Saturday Enea Bastianini offered tactical mastery by imposing himself with authority. The pilot Ducati knew how to take advantage of his opponents' errors to seize victory, ahead of Jorge Martin et Aleix Espargaró.

The departure was marked by a clash between Marco Bezzecchi et Franco Morbidelli, who both crashed in the first corner. Pecco Bagnaia quickly took command, but was overtaken by George Martin et Enea Bastianini. Unfortunately for the reigning world champion, he crashed a few laps later, ending his hopes of victory.

Enea Bastianini showed great racing intelligence by waiting before delivering the blow to George Martin. The pilot Ducati waited for the opportune moment to attack his compatriot and seize first place. He then managed his lead to win with relative ease.

The falls of bagnaia and Marquez shook up the rankings. Brad Binder et Peter Acosta took advantage of these events to finish fourth and fifth respectively. Alex Marquez also had a good race, finishing sixth.

With this victory, Enea Bastianini is getting closer to the world championship podium. He is now ahead Marc Marquez in the general classification MotoGP. Pecco Bagnaia retains the lead in the championship, but his lead over George Martin reduces to a single point.

The continuation of this British Grand Prix looks exciting. All the ingredients are there to witness a memorable race. Drivers will have to demonstrate all their mastery to win on this fast and technical circuit. The suspense is at its peak. So as not to miss anything from this round, here is his Sunday program.
