Arriving at Sepang, the Repsol Honda troops did not give much of their skin in the last competition which remains to be honored this season and which concerns the team trophy. Even their great leader Alberto Puig proclaimed to anyone who would listen that with Jorge Lorenzo powerless, the objective could not be achieved with Marc Márquez alone at the forefront against two official Ducati riders collecting points. And yet, the two factory teams arrive for the Valencia race separated by only two points…
A tiny gap that allows Honda to hope to win the bet for the final which will take place in ten days. Because Jorge Lorenzo made his contribution with two valuable points which leaves the competition open. This is a great cause for a Por Fuera who could thus not only suffer reproaches in this 2019 season, which will nevertheless remain painful, literally and figuratively.
Lorenzo warned that Valencia would suit the Honda better than the Ducati. The Repsol colors therefore keep their ambition intact for a triple crown covering the drivers' classification, the manufacturers' hierarchy and, therefore, that of the team... We will remember that in Sepang, it is the new team Petronas which, in its first season in MotoGP, won the title of best private team.
