The first day of the Grand Prix MotoGP Hungary has quite clearly designated a favorite for both races at Balaton Park, Peter Acosta (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), already very present in FP1 but especially by far the fastest during Practice: will FP2 confirm this supremacy?
Third in the morning on the still "dirty" Hungarian track after leading the session for a long time, the "shark of Mazarrón" sliced through the air in the afternoon, relegating his closest rivals to more than four-tenths of a second behind, with a time of 1'36.827 not far from the lap record held since last year by Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo Team) in 1'36.518.
The message is clear: the man is motivated, vengeful, strong, and for the moment head and shoulders above the rest in this Hungarian confrontation!
Behind the KTM rider, at a good distance, we find the now-familiar mix of Aprilia and Ducati, with Fabio DiGiannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team), Raul fernandez (Trackhouse MotoGP Team) Fermin Aldeguer (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP), Ai Ogura (Trackhouse MotoGP Team), Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia Racing) and Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo Team), in front of a brilliant Diogo Moreira (Pro Honda LCR).
George Martin (Aprilia Racing) and Jack Miller (Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP) complete the list of riders directly selected for Q2, while also being the last riders to be within the same second as the leader, something the other Yamahas of fabio quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) and Toprak Razgatlioglu (Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP) missed out by a very small margin!
