MotoGP Hungary: Official, Johann Zarco now aims for HRC!

Whatever happens now, the 2025 season has already been particularly successful for Johann zarco, with in MotoGP an unforgettable victory at Le Mans during the Grand de France, as well as a second consecutive victory at the Suzuka 8 Hours, an absolutely essential event for Japanese manufacturers. 

However, behind this enchanting picture lies a current more difficult period in Grand Prix, his Honda n°5 of the LCR team now proving less competitive than during the first third of the season, forcing the French driver to take sometimes intriguing tire bets. These fluctuations are of course inherent to competition, except that during this period the results of the two official drivers presented an inversely proportional curve which made the Frenchman realize that only a place within the HRC team would guarantee him the status of number 1 driver and the technical developments that go with it.

So, despite the excellent atmosphere that reigns in the team of Lucio Cecchinello and the constraints of developing the factory pilot function, John Zarco has decided to aim for the number 1 rider position at Honda, within the HRC team.

He announced it on the microphone of Canal + in an interview that will be broadcast next Sunday.
