Summer break, did you say summer break? Not for everyone in MotoGP. Two teams have decided to make a premature start next week, before diving back into the holidays. The HRC will indeed be heard near Brno while Ducati Pramac will be in Misano. And both will combine business with pleasure.

Two objectives which will first be fulfilled by Marc Márquez et Dani Pedrosa who will set foot on the grounds of the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic which will mark the official start of the school year, from August 4. Suffice to say that we will have to closely follow the RC213V from the launch of the second part of this completely undecided season.

Marc Márquez leads the title race and Dani Pedrosa is fifth overall at 26 points. The two will ride Monday and Tuesday looking for more stability on their machine while testing parts from Japan.

For Pramac, it is a boon for Ducati to test developments on the GP17. Danilo Petrucci will take care of it while Scott Redding may have some news on their plans for the 2018 season. The Borgo Panigale satellite team has three days booked outright, but is only expected to camp for two, with the third being an option in case of bad weather.

But it is Pramac which will still have the advantage over HRC. Indeed, once the tests are finished, the Italians will be able to go relax on the beaches not far from Misano, before doing it again the next day...
