Enea Bastianini suffered a scare when he found himself in the middle of the track on the first lap of the race, but fortunately recovered unharmed.
The image made me tremble, but Enea Bastianini recovered from his crash today without incident. The Italian rider crashed on the first lap and found himself right in the middle of the track, with the pack coming towards him. Miraculously, all the riders managed to avoid him.
"Let's just say I didn't take the fall very well, because there's always a big question mark when you find yourself crossing the track. I immediately turned to see if there was anything I could do to slow myself down or speed up my movements so I wouldn't get run over.", he explained during his debriefing.
"In the end, I have to say I was lucky today because I found myself in the middle of the track with all the drivers coming at me, and I wasn't hit by anyone. Things could have definitely gone wrong, so I have to be grateful for that."

However, the Italian left Hungary with two crashes on the first lap of the race, yesterday and today, and therefore without any points, even though he was one of the strongest men of the weekend. Qualifying in fourth position, he had every chance of a podium finish, but things didn't go as planned. After being hit by Fabio Quartararo in the first corner yesterday, he found himself at the back of the standings and in turn hit Johann Zarco.
Penalized with a double long lap for this action, which is the second of this type this season, he was unable to rectify the situation this Sunday, and considers that his lack of driving the day before played a large part in it. “I missed the sprint race. My braking reference point is always later than the others, because we have an advantage. I tried not to overdo it, but when I found myself behind Marc, I had to widen in the dirty area, and the medium tire hadn't heated up. I should have braked earlier,” he commented.

bastianini still wants to take the positives, namely his rise in power with the KTM, and hopes to be able to turn the page on this weekend in 15 days in Catalonia. He will not have to complete his double long lap there, although he did not complete it this Sunday, given that he started well. "Even though we come away with zero points, it was a positive weekend for us. I'm feeling more and more confident with the bike, so I'm looking forward to Barcelona, where I hope we'll have a great weekend.", he concluded.
