Iker Lecuona, the future Tech3 KTM rider, underwent surgery for compartment syndrome from which he suffered in his right arm. From now on, the Spaniard can aspire to be in the best possible shape for his big debut in the premier category.

The winter break is an opportunity for some to have fun and relax, and for others to resolve some small physical issues. This is the case for the very young Iker Lecuona who celebrated his 20th birthday yesterday and who will officiate within the Tech3 KTM team in MotoGP. The Spaniard had surgery on his right arm, having been suffering from compartment syndrome for some time now.

A problem that has become chronic for the rookie who wants to arrive in good shape during his “big premiere”, as an official MotoGP rider during the Qatar Grand Prix on March 08. The young man from Valencia will be one of three new recruits in MotoGP, his teammate Miguel Oliveira, whom he already replaced during the Valencia Grand Prix, the Portuguese being injured at the time.

For sure that Iker Lecuona will want, like a certain Fabio Quartararo, leave its mark on its entry into the matter, just to keep at a distance, from Alex Marquez and Brad Binder, both freshly arrived like him, from Moto2.
