Repsol Honda riders Jorge Lorenzo and the world champion Marc Márquez will unveil the RC213V for the 2019 MotoGP season in Madrid on January 23 at 10:30 a.m., in the presence of Mick doohan et Alex Criville. The official presentation of the team will take place at the Repsol campus in Madrid, the headquarters of the main sponsor. The location was not chosen by chance, Repsol and Honda are in fact celebrating their 25-year partnership in 2019.
The presentation will be the first joint appearance of the new driver duo in Honda colors. The current world champion, Márquez will live with a separate teammate, since he has won three MotoGP titles. Together, the Spaniards have won 12 world championship titles, eight of which have been won in recent years in the premier Grand Prix category. Repsol-Honda's record should also be taken into account with 14 drivers' titles, 168 Grand Prix victories and 427 podiums in the benchmark discipline.
« This presentation will be very special for me. Our new team composition has high expectations as Marc and I have already won 12 world championship titles together. Many high-level runners were already part of this team with a significant track record. We will all enjoy our day " , said Lorenzo during his first official interview as a Honda rider.
Two legends will also benefit from the event with Mick doohan et Alex Crivillé who won five titles for Honda between 1994 and 1999. Dani Pedrosa will however be absent. A first after 13 years of MotoGP.
