Alex Rins did not perform in the Sprint in Indonesia, but it must be remembered that he is still seriously injured. His worrying testimony yesterday suggested that he could miss Saturday, but according to his own words, he is doing better. Is it really necessary, knowing the context, to elaborate on his results? A timid 15th place in qualifying, far behind his teammate Fabio Quartararo, followed by a new 15th place in the Sprint. Rins, buffeted by his own body, is having a hard time having a full season. He must already look towards 2025.
The official Yamaha rider looked back on this physically difficult day. "I'm not very happy with how the day went, I had more to give. It was a bit strange because in Q1 the first time trial was fantastic.. But I had more slide with the second tire, which can happen." he declared. The most important thing for him was to finish first.

Then, the Sprint went a little better, with a very nice start. Fighting against the pain, he thought he would hold a good position that would have done him good for morale, but all his efforts were annihilated as the minutes ticked by. « In the Sprint race I started well and recovered some positions. But then, lap after lap, I slid with the rear » he added.
The most worrying is his health. Absent from the second round in Misano, Rins is making his comeback in pain. However, he assures that his health is improving: « But physically, I was fine. I struggled on the first day, maybe because I hadn't ridden the bike in these hot conditions for a long time. I can't wait for tomorrow. It's sure to be a tough race, it's so hot, so physically it will be very demanding but we are ready." he concluded.
