MotoGP Indonesia J2, Raul Fernandez (Aprilia Q3/S3) speaks: "These four difficult years have made me think"

Raul Fernandez has never been stronger than in Indonesia! While Aprilia seems to be on the right track, the Trackhouse Racing rider finished, for the first time, in the top three of a MotoGP race. It's not a podium yet, but it could well become one tomorrow if he puts in a similar performance. Even though he has been very discreet since his arrival in MotoGP at the start of 2022, Raul Fernandez remains a pure talent, young at that. He sincerely hopes to confirm this at the Grand Prix.

It's impossible not to be satisfied after such a performance. « I really like this circuit where I can fully exploit my driving styleMarco Bezzecchi is great, I'm happy, we've been working on it for four years. I've felt a change since last year; the start of the season was difficult, but now I feel like we're competitive. There is a little gap, but I am really happy. At certain points in the race, I forgot how to ride so as not to make mistakes. The Aprilia and Trackhouse teams are doing a great job. The key today was qualifying, which can help us for tomorrow. The doubt is about the rear tire. » he declared for Motosan.

 

 

He is thus emerging from a fairly long crossing of the desert, lasting almost four years. He has not forgotten it. « When you have these kinds of opportunities, you have to seize them.. So thank you to my team, and especially to my family and my brother Adrian. Because going through four very difficult years makes you think a lot. But thanks to him, I try to stay focused on my work, to enjoy the complicated moments... And thanks to him, I got this podium. So I'm very happy. » he continued.

 

 

Raul Fernandez feels supported by Trackhouse Racing, the latest team to arrive in MotoGP. « I know that Aprilia also works for us, but it doesn't matter if Martín is there or not, because the last race was with Martín on track and I felt the support of Aprilia.. I'm happy with them and I hope we can improve further in the future. Why not get a little closer to the top in the coming weeks. But right now, I'm happy, I am happy with Trackhouse, from my team » he concluded.
