Fabio Di Giannantonio struggled in Indonesia but is not looking for excuses, considering that he and his team must "try to progress".
The overseas tour is not going as planned so far Fabio DiGiannantonio would have liked. While he was coming off three podiums in sprint races in Hungary, Catalonia and San Marino, he had a complicated GP in Japan, with two 13th places and, although the situation improved a little in Indonesia, he was unable to fight at the front.
Outside the top 10 on Friday, he had to go through Q1 on Saturday. He escaped alongside Marc Márquez, but could only manage 11th on the grid. He then finished eighth in the sprint race, not without getting angry with his teammate Franco Morbidelli, and hoped to move up a gear on Sunday
This didn't happen. After a poor start, which cost him two places, he spent much of the race in 12th place, following Joan Mir's crash, and only started to make progress with eight laps to go, eventually finishing ninth. A result far from his expectations, but one he attributes to the difficulties the GP25 faces when riding behind another rider.
“It was a difficult race. If I took the right lines to brake, I was much slower, so I had to ride in a strange way, let’s say unnatural. But it’s been like that since the beginning of the year, so we deal with it and try to improve the bike, but we still don’t have a solution when the conditions are a little more critical for us.”, did he declare.

If the two official Ducati riders, who ride the GP25 like him, also had trouble in Indonesia, Di Giannantonio However, he is clear-headed and acknowledges that he and his team still have to work to get closer to the leaders, in addition to recognising their way of working with the two bikes at their disposal.
“Today there are eight riders ahead of us who did a better job. My regret about this weekend is that I used two bikes with different settings, and I think that slowed down the work a lot, at least the preparation for the main race. So, if it were possible to restart the weekend, I would definitely try to use one setup and work on it.”, he continued.
“I always start the weekend trying to give it my all. If that was the maximum this weekend, you just have to analyze it and try to improve. You never arrive at a race thinking you can be last. You always think you can get on the podium on Sunday, but after that, you have to get there. You have to work, and the other manufacturers are working just as hard as we are.”
