He flew away and didn't wait for anyone. Fermin Aldeguer, a rookie as surprising as he is talented, claimed his first MotoGP victory in Indonesia, becoming the second-youngest winner in the premier class behind Marc Marquez. His performance was simply masterful, without a single mistake. Once he took first place, he never looked back and displayed an unsustainable pace. He shares his first impressions.
Aldeguer was more than seven seconds ahead of his former rival Pedro Acosta in the dry. That's something to be very happy about. « In truth, it was not easy, really not easy. What I can swear to you is that it seemed incredibly long. I felt really good from the start. I was waiting for Bezzecchi's answer; I didn't know what was going on.Yesterday, they were already signaling me as if they were coming from behind to overtake me. I told them: " Today, I just want to have the gap with the guy behind me. I don't want to know who it is. I want to run my race if I'm first. " he declared for DAZN.

He was already winning this way when he dominated in Moto2, at the end of the 2023 season. « I felt very comfortable at this pace. An incredible race, really. I didn't expect to have such a fast pace. I thought it would be close. But I wasn't even sure if I should start with the medium tires.. So I think we stayed very calm. Again, I don't think we made any mistakes." he added.

The worst part is that in two weeks, the MotoGP caravan will stop at Phillip Island... which is none other than one of his favorite circuits. Can he repeat his feat? « Actually, Phillip Island is a circuit that I really like.. I also don't know what tires will be used in MotoGP. But in Moto2, it was a hard tire circuit. It's very similar here. I have always shown that I have an excellent feeling with the accelerator.Let's see if we can be competitive, which is our first objective. And then we'll see about the result." he concluded.
