Once again this season, Joan Mir failed to finish the Indonesian Grand Prix. This is a shame, as Honda seemed to have the pace on the Mandalika track, as Luca Marini's excellent race proved. Mir, yet on the podium in Japan, failed to convert the try, and quickly found himself on the ground. In the first moments, he was able to see what had happened to Marco Bezzecchi and Marc Marquez: a rather unpleasant situation, no doubt.
Joan Mir was scared when he saw Bezzecchi clip the back of Marc Marquez's Desmosedici. "I was right behind them. No one crashed here this weekend, except for the one who highside. It was very dangerous, I was afraid for Marc, because I saw his fall and the violence of it.…but I was even more afraid for Bezzecchi. When he went off the track, he hit some kind of step and landed in the gravel very quickly. I don't understand why there is no asphalt there. » he declared for GP One.

Overall, Mir was not very happy when he appeared before the press, because, according to him, he fell due to a technical problem. "I'm angry because we lost the opportunity to fight for another podium. Sometimes it's like that, but you have to understand what happened in the first two laps with the rear tire, the bike was unusable" he added.

On the handlebars, this translated into very strange sensations. “I couldn't even attack. I was just trying to warm up the tire, but every time I braked, I went wide.We need to understand what happened, because we were clearly missing something technically." he concluded.
