Indonesia

This Grand Prix in Indonesia, which marked the second of 21 stages on the calendar this season, notably allowed Fabio Quartararo to partially wipe the slate from the last Qatar Grand Prix. With his second place, also important for the driver since it was achieved on a wet track which until then had been a handicap, the World Champion got back on track by positioning himself in the leading trio, three points behind the leader. who is still Enea Bastianini. For his part, Johann Zarco is picking up by integrating the top 5 with a liability of only six units. But victory did indeed go to Miguel Oliveira on a KTM that his teammate Brad Binder had placed second at Losail. The Austrian brand is therefore leading the way among manufacturers and this is the big surprise of this start of the campaign…

Reprieve or relaunch? At the house of Yamaha , in any case, we appreciate this moment in Indonesia after the frustrations suffered at Qatar. The M1, due to the Mandalika route, the conditions, and the tires provided by Michelin , regained speed on the island of Lombok with his World Champion who showed his progress on a wet track. We will see in Argentina what will come out of this couple who will not give up their weapons without having tried everything.

A resistance all the more striking since among the widely praised favorites this winter, namely Ducati, we once again got caught in the red carpet. Jack Miller was valiant, but missed the podium left to a GP22 Pramac. The worst comes from Pecco Bagnaia who had his crisis in Qatar but who did not console or reassure in Indonesia. The 2021 world vice-champion scored only one point in Mandalika and that is obviously insufficient. That said, it's still less worse than George Martin who has fallen again and leaves the scene of a Grand Prix MotoGP still empty-handed…

Enea Bastianini As for him, he let the storm pass and avoided the lightning which literally struck the route, as we can see here…

The Gresini driver scored the precious points which allow him to keep the lead in a title race where we must resign ourselves to taking the official drivers KTM seriously. The Austrian manufacturer has almost achieved the perfect score in two races and is in the lead among the manufacturers. A surprise no doubt also shared within the walls of Mattighofen. And since we're talking about big sensations, we'll note that the rookie ranking is led by the much-maligned driver who came directly from Moto3 Darryn binder riding an antique Yamaha RNF. He is 13th in the general ranking with 6 points after a performance in Mandalika which deserves congratulations... See you now at the beginning of April in Argentina for new adventures... We hope to see you there again Marc Marquez in full possession of his means.

Cheers for the winner Miguel Oliveira
