A few hours after his accident during warm-up, the Spanish rider returned to the Mandalika circuit, where his participation in the MotoGP race is still not certain.

News from Marc Márquez, after his violent highside during warm-up this morning on the Mandalika track, in Indonesia. According to Spanish media DAZN, the Repsol Honda driver is suffering from a concussion and his participation in the race this Sunday seems compromised, although a withdrawal has not yet been made official.

As a reminder, the accident took place at the exit of turn 7, the RC213V ejecting the Ibère who fell heavily onto the tarmac. The latter, who was able to get up under his own power immediately, was nevertheless airlifted to Mataram hospital for examinations.

Yesterday the number 93 had already suffered two falls during Q1 (each time following a lowside), and had therefore not managed to escape from the first part of qualifying. Following Franco Morbidelli's three-place grid penalty, Márquez must start from 14th place, where his teammate Pol Espargaró must start from 16th place.

The Repsol Honda drivers, after a promising first round in Qatar, have suffered so far this weekend, visibly struggling to extract the full potential of the new tire carcass brought to Indonesia by Michelin.
