As a rookie in MotoGP, the smiling Fabio Di Giannantonio has been happy to repeat since the start of the season that he is in a learning phase and, as such, that he does not feel any pressure... except that there are five in this case and that, inevitably, each of them aims to outperform the others, especially at a time when most of the 2023/2024 contracts are already being negotiated.

In this race within the race, the Gresini driver is in an intermediate position before the Indonesian Grand Prix, just behind Remy gardner (Tech3 KTM Factory Racing) and Darryn binder (WithU Yamaha RNF MotoGP Team), and just ahead Raul Fernandez (Tech3 KTM Factory Racing), Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) having finished in the gravel in Qatar.

During the winter tests, the 5 beginners logically finished grouped in the last five places, Marco Bezzecchi leading this time in front of a Fabio Di Giannantonio who was not then in great physical shape, Raúl Fernández, Remy Gardner et Darryn Binder. It is therefore difficult to make any predictions, especially since the track has been resurfaced and the tire allocation changed, without even mentioning the often capricious weather at this time of the year 12 kilometers from Faenza...

The 23-year-old Roman will therefore be keen to continue exploring the possibilities of his Desmosedici GP21, while keeping an eye on the performance of his little playmates...

Fabio DiGiannantonio #49: “ We are returning to a beautiful place where we have a lot of fans… It is always nice and important to feel the warmth of the people and I am sure it will be like that in Mandalika. I arrive in Indonesia with a little more experience in race management, but obviously we are still in a so-called learning phase: we want to learn and we want to do it at the right time. The goal is always to improve a little, and we can do that at Mandalika. »
