The collaboration in MotoGP between Ducati and the Gresini team brings various results. Marc Marquez arrives in the official team after a year of great satisfaction with the team of Nadia Padovani. From now on, this same team will aim to advance Fermin Aldeguer, which has a direct contract with Ducati. Davide Tardozzi, present at the Gresini party on Saturday, just before flying to Madonna di Campiglio for the Ducati Lenovo event, underlined the solidity of this partnership. In addition to this, he told us about the Gresini riders and wanted to underline the value of the Bagnaia-Marquez duo for the 2025 season: our interview.

The strong bond between Ducati and Team Gresini is confirmed again this year…
"Yes, I would say that they have given us satisfaction over the years, but above all they are friends. In addition to the collaboration at the sporting level, there is also a factor of friendship, of sympathy. They are all great people."

How do you see the two drivers of 2025?
“Aldeguer has a direct contract with Ducati, so it is in our interest to be vigilant and make sure everything goes in the best way. Which we are sure will happen at Gresini. We also expect a lot from Alex Marquez: I think he will really make a leap forward this year.”

What is your impression of Aldeguer?
"He's a kid who needs to be left alone because he's always too demanding of himself. He needs to be developed calmly, educated, and calm sometimes allows you to go faster. That said, we are convinced that Fermin is one of the drivers of tomorrow."

A look at the factory team: a lot of attention for Marc Marquez, who enjoyed a renaissance last year with Gresini and Ducati…
“Marc’s willingness to go to a private team and get back into the game shows how much he wants to succeed. His goal was to have a year like that and he achieved it, he even won three races! One year to go to an official team and he did it. There are champions who have this determination, who know what their goals are and who achieve them… His goal is to win at least one more world championship. I also think he will have a great opponent next to him, because Pecco is also a champion: it will be a great challenge at Ducati. Let’s not underestimate the opponents, but we have two champions who can play for the championship.”

Looking back to 2024: do you have more satisfaction from another Ducati World Championship or more disappointment from the Bagnaia result?
“It is clear that when it became clear that a Ducati was going to win, and it was quite clear from mid-season, our goal was to try to make Pecco win. We must not be hypocrites, that is the truth, while playing fair and never giving Martin a single hairpin less. We are happy that he and Paolo Campinoti have acknowledged it. Ducati has been honest, Martin has been good, Pecco has won 11 races out of 20, but it has not been enough. I think he has thought about it and will value this experience: I am sure that Pecco will be the man to beat in 2025.”

How long does Ducati want to dominate MotoGP?
"We don't want to dominate, we want to win. It's something we have inside us, like everyone else, but maybe we want it a little more than others. What interests us is not dominating, it's winning."

The results are a testament to the quality of the riders, but also to an excellent bike...
"In the past some said that only Dovizioso rode the Ducati. We have also shown here that Gigi and his guys have been very good in making many riders win with Ducati."

Who is Ducati's biggest rival?
"There is someone who has the number 1, and if he has the number 1, he is the biggest candidate to be a rival. I think Martin is the driver who can try to beat us."
