Italy Championship

At the end of this Italian Grand Prix full of emotions, we find our two Frenchmen entered in MotoGP at the head of the championship of the major Grand Prix category. The fact remains that with his third victory in six races, and at the end of a real demonstration, Fabio Quartararo takes on a little more boss size. 24 points now separate him from his second who is none other than his compatriot Johann Zarco who is regaining the ascendancy at Ducati...

We had promised to Ducati a walk at home, on a route of the Mugello which is also his favorite circuit for developing his motorcycles. But the same fate had been promised to him at Qatar and the outcome was identical to this Sunday: it is a Yamaha who took the prize. This season therefore promises to be happily undecided and all the more so since in Tuscany, we saw KTM at the forefront, while the Suzuki don't give up. Each point won, in this context of heightened competition, is therefore a blessing.

The 25 from the tricolor to the Yamaha are therefore worth their weight in gold like the 13 units brought back by its compatriot from Pramac. On the other hand, it is the tile for bagnaia who leaves his land with a zero score. Second to Quartararo overall with one point behind arriving at a site where an entire country was expecting him to achieve a first victory at this level of the competition, here he is third with 26 lengths behind on the same Fabio. Side Miller, fifth place barely keeps up appearances. The Australian was coming off two consecutive victories and had just signed the renewal of his contract. That being said, it comes down to 5 points from his teammate…

The fifth in the title race is now the 2020 World Champion Joan mir who kept his promises by taking the third step on the podium in this sixth meeting of the year. He still accuses 40 points behind the leader, and one on one Casa Particular in Viñales which never ceases to fall back and disappoint.

Championship: the Rins and Honda disasters

On this point, alex rins is not to be outdone. In Tuscany he regrets his fourth fall in four races, a very bad series which hurts morale and reputation. Marc Marquez is no better after an inglorious abandonment due to a gross error which jeopardized the excellent Brad Binder and ruined a race Franco Morbidelli who asked for nothing. The sad epilogue of a performance subject to controversy against a backdrop of possible capitulation in the open countryside.

The situation is disastrous at Honda who only picks up crumbs. The crisis is real and on the two Grand Prix awarded by Alberto puig to HRC engineers to redress the situation, one has passed and certainly not in the best way. What will Barcelona be like in just a week? KTM showed that a turnaround was possible. Would we be less capable at Honda ?
