Italy Mugello

The Italian Grand Prix, the sixth meeting of the season, begins its second day this Saturday. It will mainly be that of the qualifications which will take place in the afternoon. A deadline promised to be exciting since the expected duel between Ducati and Yamaha seems disrupted by snipers in Suzuki and KTM. The other categories look just as undecided. The only certainty is that the weather will be good... But doubt persists for Sunday's races!

Everything remains to be done in this Italian Grand Prix which has regained its place on the calendar after having had to leave it last year due to the health crisis. Yesterday, Friday, we saw MotoGP un Alex Rins in great form who had the spotlight stolen by the Ducati official bagnaia only during the final moments of FP2. Franco Morbidelli with his 2019 Yamaha entered the top three while the big surprise came from KTM.

Two of its representatives are in fifth and sixth place with Brad Binder et Miguel Oliveira. For its part, Nakagami save the honor at Honda with its seventh position. But no other RCV makes the top ten. Marc Márquez et Pol Espargaro did not do better than 13th and 14th.

Italy: Rossi is penultimate

Well gone sailor, Casa Particular in Viñales et zarco were the only competitors not to have improved in the afternoon. The official Yamaha , who had dominated the first session, found himself eighth. The Frenchman from Pramac Racing is credited with the 11th fastest time. Aleix Espargaro et Jack Miller, winner of the two previous Grands Prix, are just ahead of him. Finally, Joan mir, only 12th, will also have to increase his pace on Saturday morning, to directly ensure a Q2. Valentino Rossi, who expects a lot from these four rounds, is also threatened with repechage, as evidenced by this sad 21st combined time…

So as not to miss anything from this beautiful day at Mugello, here is the program:
