5th this morning at 0,524 seconds from Takaaki Nakagami, the Gresini driver concluded this first day in 6th position, 0,504 seconds behindAleix Espargaró after improving his time by 8 tenths between the morning and the afternoon. Curiosity of the day, although 6th the young man from Rimini is only the 5th Ducati, the Borgo Panigale firm having led a real offensive at the end of FP2, with Francesco Bagnaia serving as a sight for no less than five other Desmosedici behind him!
However, Enea Bastianini declares himself generally satisfied with his first day even if he was surprised by the ambient heat, especially since he knows where to improve... if the rain does not disrupt the tests.
Enea Bastianini: « I'm satisfied, I had the feeling and the rhythm from the start. We haven't made any big changes. It was really hot, I don't remember a temperature like Mugello... We had a little more trouble with the tires, but overall I'm happy. We didn't succeed in everything in the race against time, especially in the third sector. For now we are in Q2, but I think we will improve a lot in the morning. We were fast, but we are missing something in the third sector. In the two corners of Arrabbiata I have difficulty turning at high speed. I'm having trouble trusting the front when braking, and we have to work a bit not so much on the bike but on the electronics and my feeling, but otherwise we're in good shape. »
