Italy

The numbers for this Q1 were definitively frozen by FP3 of the Italian Grand Prix which Pecco Bagnaia, despite a high-speed crash at the start of the session, dominated. The Ducati rider got back on the second bike and onto the track with a helmet dedicated to the Frecce Tricolori, achieved the fastest lap with a time of 1'45.393, a time which allowed him to beat Aleix's Aprilia Espargarò by 0,276 s.

Behind the Spaniard of the Venetian house we find 5 Ducatis, with in order those of Luca marini (Mooney VR46 Racing Team), Johann zarco (Pramac Racing), Marco Bezzecchi (rookie Mooney VR46 Racing Team), Enea Bastianini (Gresini Racing), who crashed at the end of the session without consequences, and Jorge Martin (Pramac Racing), who also fell and then got back on the second bike.

Pol Espargaro et Takaaki Nakagami with Honda and fabio quartararo, the only Yamaha protagonist, also qualified directly for Q2. The difficult time is for Franco Morbidelli (Yamaha Factory) and Andrea Dovizioso (Yamaha WithU RNF), the duo finishing in 18th and 25th position respectively. Michele Pirro et Lorenzo Savadori, Ducati and Aprilia testers, finished 20th and 26th respectively.

The four Italians will have to go through this Q1 where we also find Maverick Vinales, Alex Rins, the rookie Fabio Di Giannantonio, Jack Miller, Joan Mir and a Marc Marquez unrecognizable, 21st at 1s184… The best rookie was Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) fifth fastest, followed by Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati Gresini) 13th, Raul Fernandez (Team Tech 3) 22nd, Remy gardner (Team Tech 3) 23rd and Darryn binder (Yamaha WithU RNF) 24, who is ahead of his teammate Dovizioso...

Before the start of hostilities, the first big news is this…

The predicted rain has therefore decided to confirm its arrival, which is sure to redistribute a few cards... The track of Mugello is less welcoming than since the start of this weekend. It now remains to determine when the best time will be to do your time. The winds also picked up. It's 27° in the air and 35° on the track... And there's already discussion between the drivers who are in Q2... Except Jack Miller.

It is starting to rain heavily: a heavy downpour is expected shortly. The peak flow of the storm could arrive in about 15 minutes... In fact, you need to get out right away. Nobody is on slick.

The first reference is for Olive tree in 1'55.380 ahead Jack Miller. Brad Binder left the bike on wet tires and came back with dry tires. He clocked a 1'52.402. That's almost 3s better than his teammate Olive tree.

There are 5 minutes left. Marc Marquez also goes slick.

The message from the KTM rider got through.

The results are turned upside down. Marc Marquez takes the lead in 1'48.843 ahead Jack Miller et By Giannantonio. We are entering the last minute. Under the checkered flag, Di Giannantonio and Marc Marquez advance to Q2. Jack Miller is the turkey of the joke. Pirro et Olive tree close the top 5. Brad Binder follows while at Suzuki, it's a disaster: Mir is seventh and Kidneys 11th Casa Particular in Viñales is only 14th.
