In competition, and even more so at the highest level that is MotoGP, the difference between success and failure sometimes comes down to nothing. Thus, for the two drivers drafted into Q1 of this Italian Grand Prix at Mugello, Fabio Di Giannantonio et Marc Marquez, all it took was a little haste to turn a potential exploit into a failure for Marc Marquez and, on the contrary, a certain experience so that the rookie Fabio DiGiannantonio undoubtedly blessed by the gods obtains his first pole position in the premier category, and what's more at home! The world upside down !

Ironically, it was the day when number 46 of Valentino Rossi is withdrawn from MotoGP that Marc Marquez announces his departure for at least several months. In a few hours, the world of MotoGP suddenly changes its face... without anyone wondering if Marc Marquez going to ride today. And if so, why ?

However, all this does not obscure the fact that Ducati crushed the qualification by achieving a 5/5, alone fabio quartararo managing to hoist his Yamaha into the middle of the Desmosedici who almost monopolize the first two rows.

With weather forecasts that have changed a lot in a few hours and now promise us a dry race, this 20-minute warm-up is the last opportunity to finalize the choice of tires and adapt the last settings in temperatures significantly lowered from 20° in the air and 23° on the Tuscan asphalt.

As the 26 drivers prepare to face a track that is still partially wet after the nighttime storms, let's take advantage of these few live moments thanks to the official website MotoGP.com which show us that Marc Marquez is indeed there:

When the red lights go out... Franco Morbidelli comes out first.

We immediately note that some drivers are on slick tires, while others play it safe with rain tires. Still others, like fabio quartararo, take their time and stay in the box for the moment.

Almost all the drivers who went out on wet tires returned after a lap to do a flag to flag procedure and left with slicks.

Miguel Oliveira recorded a first reference in 1'50.733 at the end of the first flying lap, then 1'48.456 on the next pass.

A little before mid-session, Enea Bastianini is the only driver who has not yet taken to the track.

Miguel Oliveira improves again, this time in 1'47.773, ahead Aleix Espargaro, Fabio Di Antonio, Takaaki Nakagami, Maverick Vinales, Joan Mir, Jack Miller, Lucas Marini, Andrea Dovizioso, Remy Gardner, Franco Morbidelli, Alex Rins, Brad Binder, Francesco Bagnaia, Marc Márquez, Johann Zarco, Lorenzo Savadori, Jorge Martin, Michele Pirro, Pol Fernandez, Darryn Binder, Pol Espargaro, Marco Bezzecchi and Fabio Quartararo.

As the last third of the session passes, John Zarco takes second position then Maverick Vinales achieves the best time in 1'47.761.

Johann zarco then takes command in 1'47.423 but must quickly entrust it to Alex Espargaro in 1'46.976.

Maverick Vinales completes the Aprilia double two minutes from the checkered flag, but John Zarco manages to fit between the two RS–GP.

Marco Bezzecchi then goes back to second place then Maverick Vinales manages at the last minute to complete Noale's domination this morning.
