Marc Marquez has repeated it over and over again: his concern is not the technical level of his Honda, but his physical form which does not allow him to make the difference as he was used to before his accident. A situation which makes the period he will face formidable since the eight-time world champion thus diminished will have to complete four Grands Prix in five weeks. Afterwards, it will be the summer break, without a well-deserved one…

Marc Marquez benefited from a weekend without a race to prepare for a campaign which will serve him four in five weeks. The Honda official does not deny the difficulty, but is also confident in his ability to cope with it: “ I had a good week to continue the rehab process. We showed our potential in the wet in France. At Mugello, we have to work hard from Friday morning to try to be consistent and find a good rhythm ", said Marc Márquez.

It remains that the Italian Grand Prix will take place on the 5,245 km “Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello” with its six left turns and nine right turns as its start-finish straight of 1,141 km. It is a circuit that is considered particularly physically demanding.

More Marc Marquez known : " I know my physical limit and I know that it won't be the easiest weekend to be close to the summit in the dry », admits the pilot Repsol Honda. " We face two races in a row, for me it will be the first time this season. It will be more physically demanding, but we can handle it ", declared the pilot of 28 years old who only returned to competition in Portimao after nine months of inability to hold a handlebar.

That being said, he was cleared by his doctors to train on a motorcycle between two Grands Prix... It was on a karting type track, with 15 turns (6 on the right), in which a straight line of 400 meters is the only respite for the pilot and which is 135 km from his hometown. From what MotoRaceNation learned, on this short track of only 1 meters, the Repsol Honda rider worked on his physique on a medium-displacement sports car from his manufacturer, a CBR700RR.
