Fabio Quartararo lit up the Mugello press conference, speaking openly about Yamaha's challenges, Andrea Dovizioso's arrival as technical advisor, Toprak Razgatlioglu's arrival in MotoGP and his hopes for the 2025 Italian Grand Prix. "El Diablo" is ready to fight.

fabio quartararo delivered an unfiltered speech to the Mugello. While Yamaha seeks to right the ship with technical developments, the French driver commented on three major subjects: the return ofAndrea Dovizioso at Yamaha, the arrival of Toprak Razgatlioglu in MotoGP, and his own hopes for the Italian Grand Prix.

Yamaha formalized the signing ofAndrea Dovizioso as a technical consultant and test pilot until 2027. For Quarterly, this arrival is a real boost:

« Andrea can really help us, especially on the technical side. He is very attentive to details, unlike me.. I know how to explain things, but he goes furtherHe should be even more involved. His experience saves us time. »

The Frenchman hopes that the arrival of Dovizioso will improve the quality of exchanges within the team: “ We could better prepare weekends and structure meetings better. I attended a meeting at Ferrari in Barcelona. Their level of precision and analysis is impressive. In MotoGP, we should take inspiration from it.. »

Fabio Quartararo: “ we will have a new engine here at Mugello »

Regarding the 2025 motorcycle, Quarterly is cautious. Even if the tests ofAragon have made some improvements, the feeling on the track remains mixed: " we will have a new engine here, at Mugello, and an aero evolution after Assen. On the track I didn't feel any big differences, but the results in the wind tunnel are positive.. » On the project V4, he mentions: “ They're moving forward step by step. Every day, a step forward is taken. This is normal when you build a new engine and do few tests. I think things are going pretty well, but we still need a lot of time. I can't wait to try it , I'm curious to see how I'll feel with a V4 "

And on the behavior of the M1 he adds: " Frankly, the first laps are always scary. That's also the beauty of this bike: it demands a lot. The first corner here at Mugello? You don't even see it... it's pure adrenaline »

Aware of the limits of his machine, Quarterly remains optimistic for the coming weekend: " We can aim for the front row. This circuit has few straights, the grip is good, and it's not too hot. If everything lines up, we can be fast. »

Quarterly reacted to the promotion of Toprak Razgatlioglu in Yamaha PRAMAC for 2026. While he recognizes his talent, he tempers expectations around the Turkish driver, star of the World SBK : " Toprak is very fast, very talented. But his debut will be complicated. Going from Superbike to MotoGP is a world of difference. He will have to adapt. »
