Jack Miller once hoped to be able to run for the position of Andrea Dovizioso's teammate within the official Ducati team. But Petrucci confirmed all the good things that the leaders of Borgo Panigale thought of him, so much so that the Australian is now waiting to be confirmed within his Pramac team. Like his colleagues, he takes advantage of the summer vacation before returning to action at the beginning of August in Brno. A very useful rest, because this season, the slightest slack is paid for in cash...

Jack Miller had an interesting 2019 campaign, which gave him the podium in Austin and allowed him to emerge, at half-time, as best satellite driver. This thanks to the fall of fabio quartararo  at the Sachsenring. He is seventh in the general classification.

But the Australian knows that this hierarchy is still uncertain. Because the level of MotoGP has become incredibly tight: “ it's crazy, except for Marc Márquez. It is impossible to name the top 10 correctly because it can be very different in each race. And then there are beginners like Fabio, who surprises everyone, as was the case with Johann Zarco last year ».

The Frenchman's example shows that switching to a factory team can also be a problem, especially if it is a different manufacturer. Miller would have preferred to join Ducati for the upcoming MotoGP season, but after the extension of Ducati's contract Danilo Petrucci, his best opportunity is to stay at Pramac. Either way, the Australian knows he must not give up.

« You must always try to deliver the best weekend possible and you must never relax. Missing half a second could mean you can't get into the top 10 and miss out on entry into Q2. It's a nightmare » insists the teammate bagnaia.

Miller also emphasizes: “ experience makes all the difference. Injuries have been a recurring theme in my career, which has never bothered me too much. It wasn't ideal, of course, but it depends on experience, you have to learn continuously. I got out of Moto3 straight away, which wasn't easy in itself. We didn't always have competitive equipment, but I always did my best, and I think that also taught me to be the driver I am now ».
