Since the Coronavirus crisis was declared, Jack Miller has been a MotoGP rider who has something special. In fact, he has never experienced the horrors of confinement. And for good reason: after the cancellation of the race in Qatar and Thailand due to the health emergency, he headed straight for his native Australia. A masterstroke since the future official Ducati rider was able to train in complete freedom during the quarantine period in his town of Townsville, in the state of Queensland, where his parents live. Here he is back in Europe…

During the confinement which he did not experience, Jack Miller also took the opportunity to secure his future at Ducati. A promotion which projects him for the first time into an official team, a unique opportunity for the Australian who will take the place of Danilo Petrucci. For more than a week, Jack Miller is back in Europe to prepare for the season opener on July 19 in Jerez. The 25-year-old landed directly in Spain. On the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Miller took part in a private test session with a Ducati Panigale V4.

“Motorcycle racing is always positive”

« I'm happy to be able to drive again », Declares the Pramac rider on MotoGP.com. “ It's been a long time since I drove on asphalt. Now I'm not covered in dirt anymore ", said Miller in reference to training on motocross motorcycles.

Next year, Miller will move from the Pramac team to the official Ducati team. He can therefore start the rest of the 2020 season in a relaxed manner, although good results are obviously expected from him. “ The schedule looks good. The boys have worked hard to make this calendar possible. It's not an easy time. I'm looking forward to doing the double races...I wouldn't mind if all the races were on one track. If we can race motorcycles, it's always positive ».
