The season is over and, for the drivers, the time has come to recover from a thrilling season of 14 races smoothed out from July to November. Some, before taking a well-deserved vacation, took a detour to the operating room to shed some accessories reminiscent of old war wounds. This is the case of Jack Miller who has been lighter for a few hours, and who will no longer fear going through customs at airports...

Jack Miller finished with a season which will have been his last in the colors of a team Pramac whom he warmly thanked on the finish line of the Portuguese Grand Prix at Portimao : " I will never stop thanking Pramac for everything they have done for me over these three years. I have never stayed on a team for so long. They taught me a lot about running and also life lessons that I will never forget. I will be forever grateful. When I landed here I arrived as a mystery and I think in these years I closed a few flaps ».

Jack Miller is lighter

Before returning to his native Australia, he passed through the hospital in Barcelona to have the plates removed that he had in his body since a serious motocross accident in 2016. Following this accident, Miller had received plates to consolidate the tibia and fibula. The two broken bones were consolidated with screws. At that time, the second in the last race in the Algarve was still riding for Marc VDS in MotoGP.

The metal has now been removed at the Dexeus University Hospital in Barcelona, and Miller commented on his social network: “ I am lighter. Thank you to all the great doctors who helped me so that I did not have to smuggling the metal on the way back to Australia ».

In 2021, Miller will pilot a Ducati factory. He was promoted with his former Pramac teammate, Francis Bagnaia. In the general classification of the world championship, Miller finished seventh after 14 races, but he could not say goodbye to Pramac with a victory. However, he was the main architect of the manufacturer's title Ducati by collecting the most points during the year for the brand.
