Jack Miller is a special case in the world of motorcycle Grand Prix and it is primarily to his career trajectory that he owes this particularity. This is that he was brought into MotoGP by HRC from a Moto3 category where he was a KTM official and where he fought against Hondas, all without going through the Moto2 box. A three-year project which was to demonstrate that a well-trained pilot could establish himself among the elite by completing the stages. An experience which did not convince, even if it had its convincing moments. But the HRC decided to stop the fees. And it is Ducati who recovers the Australian who has since matured.

For once, it would be a great deal for the Italian brand to reap the benefits of Honda training. But we're not there yet. The winner of Assen 2016 is still irregular and although, in Borgo Panigale, it is believed that Miller will be better under the Pramac awning, there is still a lot to prove.

On the other hand, what is certain is that the future ex-rider Marc VDS Racing with an HRC contract arrives at the right time at Ducati: “ I had the option to stay where I am and it wouldn't have been a bad decision, but I felt it was the right time to change something in my career. And Ducati is that opportunity » comments the one who has the same nationality as Casey Stoner.

« It's exciting to say that we're arriving at Ducati at the right time. We see Dovizioso winning with the factory bike and the satellite version of the Desmosedici is not that different from the official one. I have a good feeling about what's next with the Pramac Ducati team. It all happens exactly when it needs to. ».

Jack Miller is currently thirteenth in the championship with 43 points. He will team up with Danilo Petrucci which is tenth with 75 units. For 2018, within Marc VDS Racing, if we have already secured the services of Franco Morbidelli, nothing has yet been decided about the second pilot, it being understood that the current Tito Rabat is on the departure towards Avintia Ducati.

Before heading into this weekend's British Grand Prix, Jack Miller said: "  Last year, my weekend at Silverstone was complicated because of the injury I suffered from Austria. This year, I am leaving for England in great shape and with good feelings after a week of sport in Andorra. It's the first time I've been able to go back since the Czech Republic Grand Prix and I've enjoyed being able to ride the bike and really train. We need to get back on track because the last two races in Brno and Spielberg were difficult. We started the championship regularly appearing in the top ten and we must return there this weekend »
