Jack Miller will compete in the Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) in the final round of the season, scheduled for November 25-27 at The Bend, riding a Ducati Panigale V4R. This is the second year in a row that the MotoGP rider has competed in his native country's championship.

Indeed, in December 2021, Jack Miller had the same experience on the same track. Back then, he retired in the first race, before finishing the second race in a very good third place. The 27-year-old Australian rider is entered in the Alpinestars Superbike category for Friday practice sessions, Saturday timed practice and qualifying, as well as the two all-important races on Sunday.

Speaking to the official ASBK website, he said: “I can’t wait to return to Adelaide to compete in the Australian Superbike Championship at The Bend in November! I had a great time with my friends and family last year and I can't wait to do it again. »

Miller's arrival in the paddock for the finale offers a tantalizing championship dilemma and opportunity for top contenders as the championship reaches its 2022 crescendo.

Mike Jones currently leads the championship with 29 points after an exceptional and consistent year to date where he completed every race and secured a number of critical wins and podiums aboard his Yamaha. Currently third in the championship, Wayne Maxwell has encountered difficulties in the second half of the season. With the final two rounds at Phillip Island and The Bend, circuits where Maxwell and his Ducati have historically been successful, there is now the possibility that Miller could stand on the podium again at The Bend and play a role in the final championship standings.
