Raul Fernandez Japan

For the past few races, the Aprilia RS-GP has been performing very well, as Marco Bezzecchi has shown weekend after weekend. Raul Fernandez also did very well in Japan, making it straight into Q2. The Trackhouse Racing team, certainly the most discreet since the start of the season, could really do with a somewhat flamboyant result as we begin the overseas tour. With a dynamic Fernandez at Motegi and Ai Ogura at home, there is reason to hope for good results. Of course, nothing is decided yet.

Raul Fernandez has reached the goal initially set by the American team. "We wanted to finish in the top 10. We did a great job and I'm happy." he declared to the press after the first day. There is reason to be, because this season, it is not so common to see him occupying these positions.

At Aprilia, the leader is clearly identified: the man to catch is called Marco Bezzecchi. "He's having an incredible year. What sets him apart from other Aprilias is that he can be very fast on one lap and qualify well." he added. Indeed, in just a few months, Marco Bezzecchi has transformed himself into a real threat on a tour.

Although he was quite happy with his direct qualification, Raul Fernandez would still like to improve a few details. « We're missing something on Fridays. We are almost there, I know, because our pace with the bike on mediums was good. For tomorrow, I have to use Marco Bezzecchi's data to hope to improve two or three points, and from there we will be closer to the head." he concluded.
