At the end of the Japanese Grand Prix, Jack Miller finished tenth after starting sixth. A Japanese weekend which ended well below the expectations of the Pramac Racing driver who hoped for much better.

It was going pretty well after the lights went out, « Jack Dios » turning third, coming out of the first turn behind Marc Marquez et Fabio Quartararo.

« My problems started very early in the race, from the 5th or 7th lap » grumbles Miller, disappointed. “ I had a problem with the grip of the rear tire » says he.

The 24-year-old pilot continues his analysis: “ until then, everything was going well, it was a pitched battle to be well placed. I felt really good on the bike, I especially wanted to stay in contact with Marc et Fabio. We need to check the data now. We wanted to fight for the podium here. For the front tire, everything was OK, although I also had some real concerns at the beginning. For the rear, I chose to mount a flexible tire just like Fabio. For him it worked. It's never nice to have to drive another 15 to 17 laps and not be able to overtake. »

« By the way just for clarification, Ducati officials Dovizioso et Petrucci had chosen medium rubber for the rear of their machines » adds the Australian.

And what about this scathing skirmish with the Petronas Yamaha rider, Franco Morbidelli ? “iI wanted to double it. He probably thought he was faster. He then fought and closed the doors almost everywhere, although he didn't really have the pace. He also pointed his foot in my direction, I felt he was annoyed. I took off straight away, overtaking him and that's it. In the end, today just wasn't our day. Such things can happen, it's the learning that continues » concludes the teammate of Francesco Bagnaia who closed the Grand Prix in thirteenth position.

In the championship, Jack Miller is in eighth place in the ranking and has 125 points. In the table of independent drivers, he is second, ahead of Fabio Quartararo who holds the reins of the group with 38 points in advance.

A friendly wink to make the pill go away.. “Jack Dios” or a show in itself..!
