The Pramac rider performed a second day a little below what he had done yesterday, but nevertheless remains satisfied with his qualification, which ensures him the place of best Ducati representative.

Jack Miller had secured a place in Q2 on Friday, in case the weather was bad today. It was a good thing for him, since the rain came and the results of FP3 therefore did not change the ranking of the combined times of the free practice sessions. So in seventh position, he was able to work towards qualifying, but moved rather far down the rankings, with an 18th place in FP3 and a 12th position in FP4.

However, from his first run in qualifying, he showed very good pace and moved to second place on the timesheet, securing a good place on the grid. During the second run, however, he failed to improve and eventually started sixth. Although a little disappointed not to have maintained his position, he can nevertheless congratulate himself on being the first Ducati rider, the two official riders being a few thousandths behind him.

“I am quite satisfied with this qualification”, did he declare. “The second row is always a good result which allows you to start in front. It is certain that I expected to do a little more, but I did not manage to achieve the perfect lap, in particular because I had a few people on the track. My feeling is nevertheless very positive. I think I can have a good race. »
