Johann Zarco, like all of his fellow drivers, is waiting for his time. The one that will give the signal to return to the track with the motorcycle. A long wait and uncertainty which is also a nervous test for these competitors who like everything except immobility and routine between four walls. However, this situation is not new for the Frenchman. When he left KTM prematurely in 2019, he found himself waiting. He therefore has experience of this type of crisis and knows how to manage it. A setback that he hopes to turn into an advantage, when hostilities can finally resume...

Johann zarco left his kamikaze war paint on his helmet to apply symbols of wisdom and harmony. New values which convince him that misfortune is good in all things. Thus, regarding the crisis caused by a coronavirus who creates a big void around him, the pilot Avintia Ducati thinks there will be some positives to come out of it: “ It's a strange time, but I tell myself that it can work to my advantage » says the double Moto2 World Champion.

« I've already had the experience of not being able to ride or having to know a bike and adapt quickly, it happened last year when I got on the Honda in Australia. I then signed with Ducati, I didn't pass the tests in November and that made me take a break of almost three months before going to Malaysia. There were no striking results on the first day, but things improved in Qatar. »

zarco continued his analysis at the microphone of Canal+: “ it gives me confidence. I tell myself that if the interruption is long, I might get lost less than the others. I can only hope that it will be to my advantage, that things will get better sooner than others and as soon as we start racing again I will be able to improve significantly. So I still hope to move in that direction. I have full confidence in Ducati, I am already happy to have met them and to have ridden the bike. »

He finishes : " the team can give me time, they won't rush into anything. I'm not currently discussing 2021 with anyone. The ideal would be to stay with Ducati, if I can do well with them, but we shouldn't even close the doors to other possibilities. But now is not the time, we are more in a situation of survival than negotiating a contract. " All is said…
